KARACHI- Hamdard University Dental Hospital organized a rocking event to celebrate an evening full of memories,laughter,sadness,inspirations which is traditionally celebrated as annual dinner and farewell function. The event began with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Aimen Ahmed Hussain Hamidi followed by welcome speech by Maryam Ali Khan. The event included beautiful songs some in remembrance of Peshawar attack by Dr.Rabia,Mehak Fatima and Zohaib that enthralled the audience. After the mesmerizing performances the titles followed given by final year students Ayesha Raffaqat,Amanullah,Nabeel Siddiqui,Tooba Khalid,Mohammad Owais and Saad Ahmed to honourable teachers. The audience enjoyed the opd videos that made everyone laugh as the parodies of teachers and assistants were worth watching and entertained everyone.Skits were performed on the followed by title for the final year students by third year students Nida Gul,Joham Gul,Aun Raza,Sidra,Aimen Zafar,Ali Imdad and Moiz.The audience applauded and hooted with excitement when the announcement of traditional awards was made. Lady of the evening was announced for--Hareem Gentlemen of the evening was announced for--Hassan Ashfaq Best Female Senior Shield went to--Maryam Ali Khan Best Male Senior Shield went to--Nabeel Siddiqui A poem written by final year students was presented by Mohammad Owais and Amanullah. Qawalli was sung by final year qawalls. Finally titles were given by final year students Mehak Fatima and Hassam to final year and lastly the most beautifulmemory was being watched by everyone and tears came in eyes when video was being played of four years that final year students spent together. The Chief guest on the occasion was Madam Sadia Rashid, guest of honour Vice Chancellor Professor Hakeem Abdul Hannan. The function was attended among others by Principal of Hamdard University Dental Hospital, Prof. Dr. Nadeem Hafeez Khokhar and many dignitaries including deans,principals, external affairs dean, administrators and director, intellectuals, invited guests, teachers, support staff and students. The chief guest and the principal gave away the following awards Best Teacher ---Dr.Araib Best Assistant ---Kamran Bhai Best OPD ---Prosthodontics Department Best Attendance ---Rashid Mumtaz In the end shields were given to the distinguished chief guest, guest of honour and other distinguished guests who attended the event.-PR
