On 16th August, the international event unveils a theme: "Cosmetic Dentistry-Where Art Meets Science". The Institute for Advancement of Dental Sciences & Research (IADSR) continues to receive an excited response and registration folios, from the domestic and international dental communities, as it gears up to host an International Conference, at the Convention Centre in Islamabad, on 16-18 August, 2013. This mega event will comprise of 4 focused sessions and is titled; "Cosmetic Dentistry - Where Art Meets Science". The conference is supported by; World Health Organization (WHO), Dental Tribune International, European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry (ESCD) and the Journal of Pakistan Dental Association. It will feature insightful lectures and presentations from numerous Dental Surgeons as the key speakers. These learned speakers include; Prof. Philip Lewis - Director of British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Prof. Wolfgang Richter - Chairman for International Postgraduate Education at ESCD, Dr. Amin ur Rehman - Adjunct Associate Professor of Periodontology at University of North Carolina, Col. Azad Ali Azad - Professor of Prosthodontics AMC/NUST & Armed Forces Institute of Dentistry, Dr. Irfan Qureshi - Diplomate of International Congress of Oral Implantologists and Dr. Jawad Ahmed Kundi - Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Director at SB Dental College, Gandhara University Peshawar. World Health Organization will feature a seminar on Dental practice and career counseling, titled - "Life after graduation", where young dental graduates can learn the trade-offs in every career choice. It will be a great opportunity to gain from the insights and experiences of expert s like; Prof. Wolfgang Richter, Prof. Ayyaz Ali Khan, Dr. Rahila Yasmeen, Dr. Abdul Samad, Dr. Mohammad Shoaib and other highly successful professionals. In tandem with the conference, WHO is also launching an initiative on "Fight Against Oral Cancer". Moreover, the ESCD will feature a special session titled; "Implants in aesthetic zone & Filling without drilling". The conference will also feature competitions and Awards like; Rs. 150,000 for Best Undergraduate Dental Research, Rs. 50,000 for Best Clinical Case Presentation, Rs. 25,000 for Best Table Clinic Award, Rs. 25,000 for Quiz Competition Award, Rs. 5,000 for Best Oral Presentation, and a Champion Institution 2013 award for Highest Attendance. The last date for Abstract submission is 31st July, 2013.
