ISLAMABAD - The department of community dentistry of Islamabad Medical and Dental College (IM&DC) Dental Section conducted a workshop on “Ergonomics in Dentistry” for the house officers. Under the guidance of HOD Dr. Rubina Mumtaz, the department is committed to provide continuous education and instill the principles of reaching out to the community to provide optimum oral care and oral health awareness.
The facilitators of the workshop included Dr. Sadia Sajjad and Dr. Sheze Haroon. It was attended by the house officers of Islamabad Dental Hospital. The participants were given the questionnaire before and after the workshop to assess their knowledge about the application of ergonomic in dentistry. Afterwards, they were given lecture and practical demonstration. The participants appreciated the workshop as it enhanced their knowledge and by the conclusion of the workshop, the house officers reported having attained a more thorough understanding of the factors necessary for attaining a comfortable and efficient working environment.
