PESHAWAR: Gandhara University Peshawar recently held its 5th Convocation at Shiraz Arena. 287 graduates were being awarded degrees in disciplines of BDS, MBBS, Pharm-D and Post Graduate in Dental Sciences.
Furthermore, 20 gold medals were awarded to graduates in various disciplines to acknowledge their outstanding academic performance. The occasion also honoured Best Teachers from both Kabir Medical College and Sardar Begum Dental College. Four senior teachers were also given Lifetime Achievement Awards for their years of commendable contribution towards honing the skills of their students.
The convocation was declared open by Dr. Ismail Qamar. Chief Guest, Honourable Speaker, KPK Assembly, Mr Mushtaq Ghani after awarding degrees and medals, delivered accolades to the University and their students and highlighted the importance of competent and kind doctors for Pakistan.
