Lawyers, civil society to oversee PMC

Islamabad: In a recent notification released by the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination (MNHSRC), Government of Pakistan nine people were nominated as members of Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC). The nominated members majorly belong to civil society, legal community and auditors and will look after the Medical and Dental Council of PMC.

According to a copy of notification received by Dental News, the notification read, “In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Pakistan Medical Commission Act, 2020 and after approval by the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the names of the persons specified are hereby notified as members of the Medical and Dental Council.” Following names were mentioned as members.
