Only 17.9% of 43,830 aspirants clear MCAT’19 in KP

PESHAWAR- A total of 43,829 students, including 26427 male and 17402 female students appeared in Medical Entrance Test for Academic Session 2019-20 for public and private medical and dental colleges of the Khyber Medical University (KMU).

Out of almost 43,290 aspiring candidates only 7,850 managed to score passing 60% marks or above, producing only 17.9% result.

Break down: 15 candidates were able to score 90% or above; 753 scored 80% to 89.99%; 2856 scored 70% to 79.99%; 4226 scored 60% to 69.99%; 35969 failed the exam by scoring below 60%. the

Position Holders: Sunger Yar Rekham of Peshawar (93.50%), Aizaz Ali from Federal (93%), Ahmed Anwar from Mardan (93%), Armaghan Gul from Peshawar (91.50%), Anees ur Rehman from Peshawar (91.50%), Ahsan Talal Khan from Kohat (91.50%), Luqman from Kohat (91%), Bilal from Peshawar (91%), Hamid Nasim from Abbottabad (91%), Bibi Hafiza from Abbottabad (91%), and Syed Muhammad Aaliyan Haider from DI Khan (91%).

The test was held in seven different cities of KPK: Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad, Swat, Malakand, Kohat and DI Khan. The entrance test was arranged in 45 in-door halls across the province.

The test was conducted by the Educational Testing and Evaluating Agency (ETEA) of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

18027 candidates appeared from Peshawar, 5241 in Abbotabad, 6544 in Swat, 3130 in DI Khan, 5552 in Mardan, 2076 in Kohat, and, 259 from Malakand.
