PMC notification goes viral, new MDCAT date will be announced after 2 Oct

Karachi: According to a recent viral notification released by the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination (MNHSR&C), all the admitting universities were ordered to withhold the process of MDCAT (Medical & Dental College Admission Test) till further notice by the council of Pakistan Medical Commission.

The screengrab of the notification went viral on many social media platforms creating a frenzy among aspirants.

The notification didn't clearly mention the names of the admitting universities, however, the notification was directed towards the following universities authorities.

  • National University of Medical Sciences
  • Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University
  • Khyber Medical University
  • People's University of Medical and Health Sciences for Women
  • University of Health Sciences

This created further unrest and confusion among students appearing in MDCAT as the new notification didn't mention the proposed date. The notification was dated 24th Septemeber, 2020 but no new developments have been made in this regard till this date.

With further investigation, the writer found that the new expected date to be announced after October 2nd, 2020 as shown on the PMC official website.
