PM&DC agrees to register first 2 batches of DDC

Recently at a PMDC meeting in Islamabad, Principal DMC Dr Kartar Dawani raised the issue of registration of students of Dow Dental College (DDC). He sought clarification over whether these students will be retrospectively registered after recognition of the College, since their registration fees had been duly accepted by PMDC.

PMDC President Dr Tariq Bhutta showed reservation over the acceptance of registration fees by PM&DC and said that the fees should have been returned soon after it was deposited.

He further went on to say that the nearly-100 DDC graduates that had completed their house job, and the batch that had graduated and intended to start their house job should be registered by PMDC without any delay since they were not the ones at fault.

The inspection of the College will be carried out as per the direction of Evaluation Committee.

As per the court’s ordered issued on March 7th, 2019, the college is to apply for inspection within three months from the date of notice. The inspection will be conducted in accordance with the law, and on the basis of 2019 criteria. The petitioner shall also submit an affidavit to the Registrar PM&DC, undertaking that in case they fail to meet the PM&DC rules and regulations and the law, they will return the entire fee to all the students.
