PMDC to ensure transparency in council affairs

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) will ensure transparency in smooth functioning of its affairs with regard to medical and dental colleges functioning throughout the country.

PMDC President Prof Dr Shabir Lehri, in a statement issued on Sunday 9th April 2017, said that no one was above the law and there was zero tolerance in implementation of merit policy.

“Being president of the council, I am equally responsible to run the affairs of the council in accordance with set laws and equally accountable for fulfilling this responsibility,” he said.

He said it was wrong to level allegations of corruption for petty gains. “If anyone has proof of this blame (corruption), present it to the council. I will
be the first to resign if
these charges are proved,” he added.
