PESHAWAR: The government has appointed Prof Zia ul Haq as pro-vice chancellor of Khyber Medical University (KMU) for two years.
Zia ul Haq is the recipient of several awards, including Lifetime Achievement Award 2017, HEC Pakistan Best University Teacher Award 2018, and HEC Pakistan Best Young Researcher Award 2019 in recognition of his services in the field of public health.
He also has to his credit the launching of many public health and family medicine programs during his 11-year service at KMU and is supervising several PhD scholars and MPhil researchers.
He has done his PhD in Public Health from Glasgow, UK, and MBBS and MPH from Pakistan.
