SHCC establish regional offices in Larkana 

KARACHI- Sindh Healthcare Commission has established regional offices in Larkana while another regional office is being setup in Sukkur to improve health delivery standards and eradicate quackery in these two regions.

The Chief Executive Officer SHCC in compliance of Sindh High Court Sukkur Bench, visited Sukkur to identify the office and also met with Commissioner Sukkur Rafiq Buriro to finalize acquisition of regional office in Sukkur.

CEO SHCC Dr Minhaj Qidwai and Director Anti-Quackery Directorate Dr Ayaz Mustafa attended a meeting chaired by Provincial Minister for Health Sindh Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho with World Health Organization (WHO) team. International partners and stakeholders were also present in the meeting. It was discussed to find root cause of the outbreak of HIV/AIDS and to devise a strategy to control its spread.

Directorate of Anti-quackery SHCC in its crackdown against quackery in Sindh sealed over 900 Healthcare Establishments (HCEs’) in Sindh.

Director Anti-Quackery (SHCC) has also held meetings with ADC Shaheed Benazirabad, DC and SSP Shaheed Benzairabad, SSP NaushehroFeroze, and DHO Sanghar to plan action against quacks in these areas.

Directorate of Licensing & Accreditation, SHCC has received 208 new applications for registration in a week and certificates were issued to 68 HCEs’bringing total number of registration certificates issued to 4794. The team conducted IMS Hospital Karachi.

Directorate of Complaint, SHCC has received 66 complaint till date out of which 40 complaints were disposed of, 22 complaints are under process while 4 are sub-judice.
