Sindh nominates 29 focal persons for anti-quackery

KARACHI: The Sindh Health Department has notified 29 focal persons in all districts of the Sindh province who will coordinate with the Anti-Quackery Directorate of the Sindh Health Care Commission in the drive against illegal medical practitioners across the Sindh province.

According to the notification issued by the Director General Health Services Sindh, Dr Masood Ahmed Solangi, Dr Mustafa Qureshi was nominated as the focal person for District Central Karachi,  Dr Siddique Marfani for the Korangi District, Dr Najamuddin for District West, Dr Mukesh for District South,  Dr Ahmed Ali Memon for District Malir, and Dr Muhammad Attique for District East, Karachi.

The following officers, including Dr Ghulam Abbas, was appointed the focal person in District Kambar, Dr Yousif Junejo in District Tando Muhammad Khan, Dr Abdul Sattar in District Naushahro Feroze, Dr Wali Abbasi in District Sujawal,  Dr Nazir Ahhmed in District Shikarpur, Dr Peral Khan Khoso in District Dadu, Dr Zahid in District Matiari, Dr Achar in District Tharparkar, Dr Farooq Ahemd in Larkana,  Dr Azhar Qureshi in District Thatta, Dr Mir Mukhtiar Talpur in District Mirpurkhas and Dr Umer Jamali Shaheed in Benazirabad District.

Dr Sher Muhammad Chachar was nominated as the district focal person of Sukkur, Dr Irshad Sarki for District Jacobabad, Dr Ahsan Akbar for District Kashmore, Dr Abdul Razzak in District Ghotki, Dr Azam Khan in the Khoso District Umerkot, Dr Bakar Yousif Jatoi for District Khairpur, Dr Farooque in District Sanghar, Dr Rasool Bux Memon for District Badin, Dr Hafiz Arain for District Jamshoro, and Dr Ashfaque Qureshi for District Hyderabad.

The focal persons will have no other assignment in the districts except anti-quackery duty.
