UHS delays MDCAT online registration amid PMC fiasco

Karachi: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) recently delayed Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) online registration for students applying in MBBS, BDS program in public and private medical and dental colleges of the Punjab province.

According to sources, the online registration of MDCAT on the official website of UHS, www.uhs.edu.pk was announced to start from 21st September 2020. However, no online registration form has been uploaded until now.

The spokesperson of UHS when reached by the writer, told that the online registration date will be announced next week.

According to sources, the new Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) bill has been the reason for the delay of entry test registration, as the new bill changed the previous eligibility criteria as approved by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

It is pertinent to mention here that entry tests registration date for MBBS and BDS programs in public/private medical and dental colleges held in Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have not been delayed, as yet.
