Urooj Mumtaz Made PCB Committee Member

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed a new four-member committee that will assist and advise the PCB chairman in relation to plans for promotion and conductance of the game at all levels.

The committee will be chaired by former Pakistan Head Coach Mohsin Hasan Khan, while other members include former captains of Pakistan cricket team, Wasim Akram and Misbahul Haq and former Women’s team captain and selector, Urooj Mumtaz.

It must be noted that PCB Chief Operating Officer (COO) Subhan Ahmed had stated during the press conference on Friday that massive amounts wouldn’t be spent to keep the committee operational. “The committee members won’t be remunerated with fixed salaries and only receive minimal amounts for the work they are doing,” he said.

Urooj Mumtaz is a practicing dentist. She received her Master’s degree from the University of Sheffield, in UK.
