Debra Lobo – Vice Principal, JMDC now stable

Karachi: In a press release recently issued by the Aga Khan University Hospital, Ms. Lobo, the vice principal of Jinnah Medical & Dental College Karachi who was brought in critically injured on the 16th of April 2015, is now improving from the injuries from the attack.

Ms Lobo was brought to the Aga Khan University Hospital’s Emergency after gun-shot injuries to her face and arms. Foreign objects have been removed from the wounds and she will have further procedures next week. Doctors have described her condition as ‘not life-threatening’.

The identities of the attackers or the motive is yet to discovered, however anti-American pamphlets were found in her car after the attack. Law enforcing agencies are refraining to comment on the matter and saying it is too early to draw any conclusions as the investigation is underway.
