Karachi: In a recent survey conducted on social media platforms of Dental News, people displayed mixed reactions when asked whether they will recommend their friends to pursue a career in dentistry.
The reactions on the twitter page of Dental News showed that 52.9% were willing to recommend their fellows to opt for the dental profession.
Over 500 users participated in a poll on Instagram and around 300 shared their opinions on the survey.
The reactions on the Instagram poll, however, were interesting as many users shared their perspective as to why they think a career in dentistry can be a better choice or not.
“If they are passionate about it and can take up the challenges that come with it then definitely, yes! (sic),” one user commented.
“For sure! I think we can learn a lot and you feel so satisfied after seeing a smile on your patients’ face,” another user added.
One Instagram user said, “Only if they are the artist and super talented though.”
While many users on Instagram and Facebook platform suggested not to opt for dentistry due to unprecedented challenges and complications.
“I will recommend dentistry only if I hate them,” one Facebook user shared.
