KARACHI: Given the monkeypox threat, the government has declared an emergency at all international airports in the country on Sunday.
To avoid spread of the viral infection, the Airport Security Force (ASF) has issued standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the airports.
According to the SOPs, the ASF staff will wear masks and gloves while body searching the passengers and their luggage.
The issuance of temporary permits for entry to the airport has also been suspended.
