Woman finds no dentist, pulls teeth herself

SUFFOLK, England: A woman has recently extracted her six teeth as she could not access a National Health Service (NHS) dentist.

Toothless, the campaign group has broken the news while telling about the patient difficulties after some surgeries halted in NHS care.

Lina Hogan joined the campaign's Facebook group, where she said she had removed her six teeth as she could not see a dentist accepting NHS patients. The single mother had been finding an NHS dentist for four years. She said that the pain had been so bad she had to miss work. Ms Hogan wasn't able to afford private dental care.

NHS England has announced new dental services for East Anglia, but campaigners said where these would be, not be revealed until 2022.

More than five thousand citizens have signed the group's petition calling for improved access to NHS dentists.
