LAHORE: College of Dentistry, Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College (AMDC), Lahore, recently organised an international seminar and hands-on workshop on Cardiac First Response [Basic Life Support (BLS)] accredited by National Ambulance Service College (NASC) Ireland for young doctors.

The objective of this seminar/ hands-on training workshop was to train young doctors to maintain sufficient blood circulation and breathing through a clear airway until definitive medical treatment. The idea was to sensitise them from the beginning and help them be aware of dealing with emergencies. Young learners participated with immense zeal & enthusiasm.

All participants learned how to cope with different emergencies situations and are followed by multiple hands-on training workshops on manikins.

Prof. Dr Sabir Hussain, Principal Dental Section, AMDC, Dr Waqar Ali, Assistant Professor, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, AMDC, and Dr Sohail Yasin, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dental Hospital, AMDC, organised the seminar/ hands-on training workshop.
