Physician dismisses rumours of Imran’s ‘slow poisoning’ in jail

ISLAMABAD: Refuting rumours of any deliberate slow poisoning of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman, his personal physician Dr Faisal Sultan, says the former premier is quite healthy and even doing exercise in the Adiala Jail.

Dr Sultan has made this statement speaking to the media after conducting a medical examination of the incarcerated PTI chief recently. The PTI chairman’s legal team was also accompanying the physician during his visit to Adiala Jail.

Dr Sultan said there were no indications of any slow poisoning affecting the PTI chairman. He affirmed that the chairman seemed to be in robust health, engaging in regular exercise within the jail premises.

"The PTI chief has displayed no symptoms suggestive of slow poisoning," Dr Sultan assured. Furthermore, he confirmed that the PTI chairman had not voiced any grievances concerning the quality of food served to him during his confinement.
