Student tragically takes own life after MDCAT failure

PESHAWAR: Tragedy struck Islamia College Peshawar as Mubasher Ali, a student pursuing his studies at the institution, reportedly took his own life following disappointing results in the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT).

The Provost of Islamia College Peshawar confirmed the heartbreaking incident, revealing that Mubasher Ali was found in a critical condition within the hostel premises. The young student was enrolled in the first semester of the Zoology Department at the college.

Upon discovery, his friend immediately sought assistance and rushed him to the hospital, but regrettably, Mubasher could not be saved and succumbed to his injuries.

According to the local police, the student's father has given a statement, indicating that his son's suicide was a result of his distress over failing the MDCAT, despite attempting the test twice previously.

Mubasher Ali, who tragically took his own life within the confines of Islamia College Peshawar's hostel, hailed from Parachinar. The incident has sent shockwaves through the college community, raising concerns about the mental well-being and academic pressures faced by students.
