KARACHI: The Department of Community and Preventive Dentistry of the Dow Dental College, DUHS, conducted an oral health promotion program at the Government Boys Secondary School, Kotwal building. Dr Muhammad Taqi, Assistant Professor, Head of Department, supervised the trip. Lecturers including Dr Babar Zia and Dr Amber Saeed, accompanied him.
The purpose of this visit was to promote oral health awareness among schoolchildren. Students performed intraoral examinations on the schoolchildren and imparted information on brushing techniques instructing the children to maintain their basic oral hygiene. At the end of the session, a kit was distributed to the children containing toothpaste, a toothbrush, and a brushing chart to encourage them to improve their oral health.
