ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Cleft lip and Palate Association (ICLAPA) arranged a cleft lip and palate free surgery camp at Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) Main Murree Road Baharakhu Islamabad in the first week of May.
Prof Ma Lain and Prof Zhou Xia consultants from School of Stomatology Peking University China were invited as guests and chief operating surgeons along with OMFS teams of Islamabad Medical and Dental College (IMDC) and Foundation University Dental College FUCD Islamabad.
Above hundred patients were checked in camp almost fifteen patients daily were operated team worked for more than 12 hours per day that included number of reconstructive surgeries.
Dr. Akbar Niazi teaching hospital is a state of art 500 bedded teaching hospital of Islamabad Medical and Dental College on main Murree road Islamabad with excellent facilitation. Chinese surgeons were very happy with the arrangements at ANTH and wish to come again to work with Pakistani Maxillofacial Surgeons in near future.
