Sad demise of a pioneering Pakistani dentist – Dr. Rafique Ahmed Memon

Dean of Dental Faculty at Isra University, Hyderabad – Dr Rafique Ahmed Memon has passed away, after facing a long spell of health problems with remarkable patience and courage. He was an Icon of Pakistan’s Dental Industry, who enriched the Academic, as well as Clinical domain of modern Dentistry in Pakistan.

Dr. Memon got his professional dental education from the Liaquat University of Medicine and Health Sciences at Jamshoro and went on to serve the country for many decades. He consistently made numerous valuable contributions in Research, while reviewing articles in various renowned medical journals. He also headed the Isra Islamic Foundation in Hyderabad, which aims at promoting Islamic learning.

The Dental fraternity in Pakistan and Dental News would like to express heart-felt condolences on this great loss of a selfless Mesiah, academician and philanthropist. May Allah bless his soul with eternal peace and grant the courage to his family for bearing this irreparable loss. He will always remain in the most cherished memories of all his thankful patients, students and colleagues.
